I joined PopCap and the Plants vs. Zombies 3 team as the Live Design Lead when the project was in soft launch. It was soon decided to pull the project back rethink its direction. The goal was to make a mobile-first game that still captured everything that made previous PvZ games great.
The contribution I am most proud of is establishing tools, processes, and a pipeline to allow the team create bespoke levels at an incredible pace.
I pursued a role at PopCap and Electronic Arts to learn more about the business of making games, and the mobile landscape. The two years I spent there were incredibly valuable in that regard, teaching me how to navigate stakeholders, product managers, and a global market.
When I left I was very confident in the team’s ability to continue delivering on the PvZ promises made, but I was eager to jump into an exciting project in the Dungeons & Dragons universe at Hidden Path Entertainment.
